It’s Our Birthday!
30 years ago this week, our founder John Wood brewed the first commercial batch of Jeffrey Hudson Bitter.
And this Wednesday 13 September, 30 years ago to the day, our brewers will be brewing the week’s batch of JHB – the ground breaking beer that kicked off the Oakham story back in September 1993 and an enduring cask ale legend!
We’re not quite exactly sure how many pints of JHB we’ve brewed in the intervening years, but we do know that we’ve brewed almost 300 different beers in those three decades and around 93 million pints in total!
Quite a story.
