1. AGE RESTRICTIONS
Please note that you must be aged 18 years or over to order via the Oakham Ales online shop.
All products must be signed for by an adult (aged 18 years or over) on delivery.
If no one aged 18 years or over is present at the address when the delivery is attempted, the goods will be retained by the driver.
Please also note that because beer is an age restricted product, our couriers require an adult to be present to take delivery of your order and we aren’t able to comply with requests to leave the goods unattended elsewhere.
2. DESPATCH AND DELIVERY
We aim to ship orders on the weekday after they are received, with deliveries usually made on the weekday after despatch.
Orders are not normally despatched or delivered at weekends or on bank holidays.
Please note that our couriers only collect from us on weekdays, so orders placed on Fridays and those placed at the weekend will not be collected from us until the following Monday.
Please also note that extended despatch and delivery times may apply during periods of high order levels and when our couriers are experiencing delays due to high volumes, staffing issues and other factors.
3. DELIVERY AREAS
Deliveries will be made to the UK only.
Unfortunately, our couriers cannot deliver to specific postcodes within some of the following areas:-
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Northern Ireland
- Isle of Wight
- Isle of Man
- Isles of Scilly
- Channel Islands
- UK PO Boxes
4. PRICES AND SHIPPING CHARGES
We charge a flat rate shipping charge of £6.50 per order.
Product prices are as quoted on our site at the time of purchase except in cases of obvious error.
Prices may change at any time but any price changes will not affect orders for which the customer has already paid.
All prices and charges include VAT.
Payment must be made by credit or debit card. We do not accept cash or cheque payments.
6. ORDER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
On placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email from Oakham Ales.
7. DAMAGED GOODS AND MISSING ITEMS
If an attempted delivery is damaged or short delivered, you are within your rights to refuse the order, at which point it will be returned to us by the courier. If you choose to do this, please contact us via [email protected] and we will either resend the order (if every item is in stock) or process a full refund, whichever is preferred.
Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for delivery failure if you provide an incorrect address and postal code or an incorrect contact telephone number. Please carefully check this information when placing your order.
8. RISK AND TITLE
The products will be at your risk from the time of delivery.
Oakham Ales warrant that any product purchased from us through our site is of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for all the purposes for which products of the kind are commonly supplied.
Our liability for losses you suffer as a result of us breaking this agreement is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not responsible for indirect losses which happen as a side effect of the main loss or damage (such as loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, waste of management or office time) however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise.
The limitation above does not include or limit in any way our liability: (a) for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) under section 2(3) of the consumer protection act 1987; (c) for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (d) for any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.
